The Awareness Committee brainstorms and develops activities related to community outreach and awareness of domestic violence. This committee coordinates events in October, domestic violence awareness month. This committee also coordinates activities involving awareness of the effects of domestic violence on children.

The Delta Committee meets to assist the Delta Coordinator with the Delta Project, which addresses primary prevention of intimate partner violence in the county. This project supports a program on healthy relationships for middle school youth. Committee members may need to attend statewide Delta meetings as required by the project. Some scheduled meetings require travel outside of the Richmond area.

The Fundraising Committee researches possible funding sources and projects on behalf of the Task Force. The committee is responsible for preparing and submitting grant applications. Fundraising will be for the Task Force general fund and the Carolyn Miller Memorial Fund, our emergency crisis fund for victims of domestic violence.

The Hispanic Outreach Committee works to improve service delivery to Hispanic and immigrant victims of domestic violence. The committee researches best practice protocols and conducts needs assessments and community surveys to determine how to enhance services for Hispanic victims.

The Training Committee is responsible for scheduling and recruiting speakers for the Task Force mini-trainings. Persons on this committee are responsible for the set-up and clean up of trainings. Three mini-trainings are scheduled each year.
