Audition Call
Audition Call to perform monologues about domestic violence and struggles victim's face in an October fundraising performance titled The Heart of the Matter: A Journey Toward Healing.
The Chesterfield County Domestic and Sexual Violence Resource Center, the Chesterfield County Domestic Violence Task Force and the Richmond YWCA will sponsor a fundraising performance for Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October titled The Heart of the Matter: A Journey Toward Healing. The program will feature monologues about domestic violence and depicting the struggle for victims of domestic violence and their children.
Auditions for individuals presenting the monologues will be held on May 29, 2007,
11 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Multi-purpose Room of the Smith-Wagner Building,
9501 Lucy Corr Circle.
Program organizers are looking for individuals who have both a passion for the plight of victims of domestic violence and acting talent. People from varied backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to attend.
Anyone interested in auditioning must be willing to sign a Volunteer Service Statement and is asked to bring a one-page résumé the audition. Those chosen to participate will be required to pass a criminal background check.
